I was a teacher for 23 years in the Hampton, Virginia public school system. My passion for teaching was instilled in my heart during my primary and secondary education. As I grew up in a small town where everybody knew you and your parents, the teachers were personally invested in their students and concerned about their welfare and well-being. They assumed the attitude that "it takes the whole community to raise the child".

While growing up in my home community and during my teaching career in Hampton, I was very engaged in community activities as organist and minister of music for various churches. I also was the head basketball and track coach in the school system.

I love being an agent as I am able to carry over my passion for teaching, coaching and providing service to the community through my agency and policyholders.

I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Elizabeth City State University, and Masters of Arts in Administration/ Supervision from Hampton University.
